Whoooooooa... uh, hehem... not bad, not bad... who am I kidding, I love this. If this is merely a "Practice Piece," what do you consider a "Master Piece?" There is no doubt you have an eye for visual storytelling. Though there is nothing more than a portrait you see, it's as if there's an entire world behind it. Simply amazing.
okay.. i have to comment after reading your last post about how people have been saying junk and how you think the anatomy doesn't quite line up for a lot of your work... To be honest, I really can't see a flaw. 0.0 I love your work in both its style and its rendering. And to be honest, everybody is pretty much going to be off with the human figure unless they use a real life reference- and even then a lot of artists are off anyway. I know instructors have always told us to keep practicing the 'right way' but really i think it's the flow of the figure's position that matters most. I mean, I know MY art could use some help in its rendering- not necessarily because it can get a tad out of proportion, but because it isn't a style I want to leave my art finished at. It isn't 'me' if that makes any sense. Wow most of this message just seems like fruitless babbling T.T in any case, please keep doing what you do. If you love it, keep doing it. and if you don't stop. Personally, I love the way your art is, but I know every artist aims to be more than their current state so good luck to whatever it is you plan. and kudos for pushing yourself in the academic area btw.
